Is it a mandatory resident intake process Aqua X to assign a device immediately?
No, it is not required to link a hardware device to a resident at the exact moment you create their profile. The Aqua X platform uses a flexible Aqua X resident onboarding workflow. This setup lets clinical and administrative staff separate the creation of a resident's identity from the physical setup of their hardware.
You can complete the initial resident intake, enter all necessary demographic data, and finalize the digital onboarding profile first. The device mapping sequence can happen later—whether that is a few hours or several weeks down the road—whenever your staff and hardware inventory are ready.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Assign Device in Aqua X
When you are ready to set up and hand out hardware for an onboarded resident, use this step-by-step guide to meet all Aqua X device assignment requirements and sync the device with your dashboard.
1.Access the Resident Profile: Go to the main Residents directory page on your Aqua X dashboard. Find the person's file, click their name to open their profile, and click the Assign Device button. You can find this button in two places:
Inside the Location widget on the right side of the screen.
Inside the Actions dropdown menu at the top of the profile page.
2.Choose Your Pillar Configuration:Select the right Pillar or operational Phase for the resident's care protocol. Click the confirmation checkbox to lock in your choice, then click Continue.
Note: You cannot use your browser's "back" button during this step. However, you can easily change or update this Pillar setting later through their profile options.
3.Set Up Contacts (Optional):Next, you will see the contact management screen. If you have them ready, you can add personal Approved Contacts now.
System Defaults: You will see a locked list of preloaded numbers. These are your organization's emergency lines. They are locked for safety and do not count against the resident's personal contact limit.
Skip for Later: If you do not have the resident's personal contacts yet, just click Continue. You can add them at any time after activation.
4.Prepare the Hardware:Grab the physical Aqua X device. Before you sync it, make sure it meets these baseline setup rules:
Power: Check that the battery is charged to at least 50% so it does not die mid-setup.
Internet: Turn on the device and connect it to a secure Wi-Fi network or hotspot.
Get the Code: Tap through the standard Google setup screens. Once the basic system is ready, the Aqua X app will open and show a unique, temporary onboarding code on the device screen.
5. Enter the Code and Sync:Type the code from the device screen directly into the matching field on your Aqua X web dashboard and click submit.
Our automated system will take over to apply safety rules and install required software. This process takes about 5 minutes. Do not turn off the device or disconnect it from the internet. Once the dashboard shows "Successfully Enrolled," the device is safe, ready, and fully prepared for the resident.
