You don’t have to assign a device the moment you add a new resident. You can onboard the resident first, and then add the device whenever you are ready!
Getting Started:
Go to the Residents page and click on the resident's name to open their profile.
Click the “Assign Device” button.
You can find this button in the "Location" section on the right side of the page, or by clicking the Actions menu.
The Setup Process:
Select the Pillar: Choose the appropriate Pillar or Phase for the resident. Check the confirmation box and hit “Continue”.
(Note: You can't go "back" during this specific step, but don't worry—you can always change a resident’s Pillar later once the device is assigned.)
Add Contacts (Optional): You can enter Approved Contacts now if you have them.
Default Contacts: You will see a list of contacts already preloaded here (your organization's main numbers). These are locked and cannot be edited, but don't worry—they do not count toward the resident's safe contact limit.
If you aren't ready to add personal contacts yet, just click “Continue” to skip this—you can add them anytime later!
Prepare the Device: Grab the device you are assigning.
Turn it on (make sure it has at least 50% battery).
Connect to Wi-Fi/Hotspot.
Move through the standard Google setup screens until a unique Onboarding Code appears on the phone screen.
Enter the Code: Type that unique code into the field on your Aqua X dashboard.
Finish Up: The system will take over from here! It usually takes about 5 minutes to auto-enroll and apply all the settings. Once it finishes, the device is fully ready for the resident to use.
