Keeping a resident's approved contact list up to date is essential for smooth communication and reliable device performance. Whether you need to add a new emergency contact, fix an old phone number, or delete someone from the list entirely, you can make these changes right inside the Aqua X Portal.
Use this clear step-by-step technical guide for your daily Aqua X portal contact directory update tasks.
Accessing the Contact Directory
Before you can update any records, you need to find the correct resident profile in Aqua X.
Log into your Aqua X Portal dashboard.
Go to the main Residents page using the left-hand navigation menu.
Use the search bar or scroll down to find the specific resident, then click their name to open their profile.
Look at the row of tabs right under the main resident header and click Contacts.
How to Add or Edit a Contact
Look at the right side of the screen, click the Actions dropdown menu, and choose Edit Contacts.
To Add a New Contact: Scroll down to the empty fields and type in the required details: first name, last name, relationship type, and primary phone number.
To Edit an Existing Contact: Find the specific contact and change the information directly in the text boxes (such as updating a mobile number or fixing a typo).
Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes to the database.
How to Delete a Contact
In the Contacts tab, find the person you want to remove for good.
Click the checkbox just to the left of their name.
Click the Actions button at the top of the list.
Select Delete Contact and confirm the choice to remove them from the active list.
System Rules & Aqua X Contact Sync Troubleshooting
Device Syncing (Over-the-Air)
For new contact data to show up on the physical Aqua X hardware device, the resident's unit must have an internet connection (either cellular data or Wi-Fi).
Standard Sync Time: Data usually syncs automatically within 2 to 3 minutes.
Force Refresh: If the new contacts do not show up on the device within a few minutes, restart the physical hardware device. This hard reboot forces the device to pull a fresh update directly from the Aqua X cloud servers.
System Limits & Locked Settings
Default Contacts: System-wide numbers (like the central office or emergency services) are locked by admin permissions. You cannot change or delete these at the resident profile level.
Maximum Limits: Your organization’s global settings and the resident’s assigned Pillar tier limit the total number of custom speed-dial or personal contacts you can add.
