Keeping Your AquaX Device Up to Date

Keeping AquaX devices up to date ensures the software remains stable, secure, and fully functional. Software updates include important performance improvements, bug fixes, and security enhancements that help devices run smoothly and reliably across your organization.

Automatic Updates

AquaX devices are configured to receive over-the-air (OTA) updates automatically. When connected to a stable internet connection, updates will download and install in the background without requiring manual intervention.

If an update is not installed manually within 24 hours, the device will automatically complete the update on its own. To ensure a smooth process, devices should be plugged in, adequately charged, and connected to a secure Wi-Fi network. Updates are typically applied overnight to minimize disruption.

Most updates take approximately 20–25 minutes from start to finish, though timing may vary slightly depending on internet speed and update size.

Manually Checking for an Update

If a resident's device appears to be running an older version or an update seems delayed, you can manually prompt the system to check for updates.

Steps to manually check for updates:

  1. Ensure the device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. (Wi-Fi is recommended for faster and more reliable downloads.)

  2. Navigate to SettingsSystemSystem Updates.

  3. Tap the blue refresh icon in the top-right corner to check for available updates.

If the device is already up to date, a confirmation message will appear.
