How can I create a curfew?

Updated over a month ago

Setting time limits for device usage is simple. You can create recurring curfews that apply to every resident in a specific Pillar.

Here is how to set one up:

  1. Select the Pillar: Go to the Curfews page and use the selector at the top to choose which Pillar needs the new rule.

  2. Start New Curfew: Click the “Add Curfew” button.

  3. Enter Details: Fill in the required settings:

    • Curfew Name

    • Start Time & End Time

    • Days of the Week (Select which days this applies to).

    • Which Pillar this Applies to

  4. Finish Up: Click Continue, review your details, and hit “Add Curfew”.

⚠️ Important: Activation & Connectivity:

  • Not Active Yet: clicking “Add Curfew” simply saves the rule to your list. It will remain Inactive until you manually turn it on (See the FAQ here on how to Activate).

  • Internet Required: Once you activate a curfew, the device must be connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or Cellular) to receive the new rule.

Rules for Back-to-Back Curfews

Currently, a single curfew entry cannot span across midnight.

  • The Exception (Overnight Split): To set a curfew that runs overnight (e.g., 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM), you must create two back-to-back entries:

    1. 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM

    2. 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

  • The Restriction: Do not stack back-to-back curfews for any other time blocks.

    • Incorrect: Creating one curfew for 8pm–9pm and another for 9pm–10pm.

    • Correct: Just create a single curfew for 8pm–10pm.
